Plot
Actions take place in 1944 near Eastern Europe. Two aircraft, on board of which 42 soldiers and a couple of commanders fly to a secret mission, but flying over the neutral territory, devices and engines at two aircraft break, which is why soldiers have to evacuate from the aircraft. Of all the people, only 8 soldiers survive that we will manage. In addition, there are unknown soldiers in gas masks on the territory who are hostile. Since the soldiers do not know the purpose of the mission, they decide to find valuable information about the mission in the wreckage of two aircraft, as well as the plan of leaving this territory.

The game is step -by -step, but instead of the moves in the game there are phases that last 8 seconds. Before the start of the phase, you can order your soldier to do some actions, starting from moving on the map and ending to the use of perks. But it is worth considering that for each action some period of time is allocated, and if the soldier perform all the actions before the end of the phase, then he will be inactive. It is impossible to change the actions of the soldiers during the phase, but if one of the soldiers notice the enemy, then the phase breaks, and you can order additional actions, or cancel the old.

And the battle happens like this: as soon as a soldier or enemy can attack, he will automatically shoot with some break, so you will not have to choose the goal and the moment when the soldiers will attack him. But not every shot will hit the target, because it all depends on the percentage of hit, and in turn many factors will be taken into account to determine this percentage: distance, type of weapon, height, shelter, and so on. Therefore, you need to carefully distribute the roles of each soldier, and think through the strategies, for example: the enemy sits in a convenient position and attacks everyone, so the best idea will either throw a grenade or send anyone bypassing the enemy, and then the soldier will kill this enemy.

It is also worth telling a little more about the soldiers themselves, and they are, in turn, clicked characters of any military film: there is a cool soldier who will not tolerate mistakes from other soldiers, a fighter who was sent to fight in the battlefield, although he is barely restraining so as not to panic, or the guy who is trying to get distracted from the war with the help of sarcasm. But it is worth saying that every soldier has his own prescribed biography, which explains why this character has such a behavior. In addition, each soldier has a scale of self -control, as well as a list of relations, and if you send those fighters who have a good relationship between each, then at the end of the mission, everyone will rise. Broken Lines is a good tactical game that can be held in a couple of evenings. Of the problems I can only highlight that soldiers can strangely choose their way for movement, and instead of jumping a fence, they can go around it by spending extra seconds.
